The Altar Guild is a group of Saint Paul’s members who are called to serve God by preparing the church building and altars for worship. Their work is a thank offering of time and many talents.
Their work includes preparing the Seasonal altar, laying out vestments, caring for linens, polishing silver and brass, and replacing the Eucharist supplies of bread, wine, and candles. They also prepare for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage, and Burial.
In teams or two or three, guild members serve once a month on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. to prepare for Sunday worship. They also serve on Sunday, after each service, to clear and set out new gifts of bread and wine for the next service.
The guild members meet several times a year for fellowship and a potluck lunch where they discuss preparations for the upcoming season’s celebration. These luncheons are open to any person with an interest in learning more about Altar Guild or joining the guild ministry.

Our mission is to strengthen the bonds of our parish community and to provide a forum for men in the church to develop their spiritual understanding through prayer, study and service. The Brotherhood Chapter at Saint Paul's belongs to the Pennsylvania Diocese, which is part of Province III of the International organization.
Our Program year runs from September through June. We meet on the third Sunday of the month in Paxson Hall. Monthly meetings include a study session and planning of regular events and activities. All men of the church are welcome to join.
Each year the Brotherhood sponsors two Sunday morning breakfasts, a fall Spaghetti Dinner and the Shove Tuesday Pancake Supper. The goal of these activities is to bring our parish community together. The youth groups are invited to help out at these events. We also participate in several Diocesan activities including the Men and Boys Communion Breakfast.

The House Tour is back for 2009!
The Christmas in Doylestown House Tour and Boutique is sponsored by Saint Paul's Church to raise funds for the local homeless shelter and various projects at Saint Paul's. Over the years, Saint Paul's has donated $72,000 to the Bucks County Housing Group to benefit the Doylestown Homeless Shelter.
This multi-level event takes place on the first weekend in December to coincide with Doylestown's First Friday. This year, four borough homes, decorated inside and out by Saint Paul's parishioners, will be featured on the house tour. Paxson Hall is transformed to a festive holiday boutique, featuring Tea for house tour ticket holders, and a full array of baked goods, our famous butter cookies, custom greens, gifts for the holiday, and attic treasures.

All women of the parish are members of Episcopal Churchwomen. The group's mission is to find ways to meet the diverse needs of the women of the church. ECW periodically sponsors speakers, a Lenten Quiet Day and programs of interest to women.
Annual funding comes from the Christmas in Doylestown Bake Sale and Raffle. Proceeds are dedicated to various local and Episcopal charities and special projects within the parish.
The ECW collects toys and wrapping paper for the Bucks County Opportunity Council, and helps with Christmas in Doylestown by serving as hostesses of house tour houses, decorating, and working at the holiday boutique
The ECW meets in Paxson Hall on the third Sunday morning of each month at 9:30 am for a program that may include Bible study, discussion, reflection and sharing.

The opportunities for fellowship are numerous, and often overlap with the work of the various guilds, committees and groups. Sunday morning coffee hour is the most regular fellowship opportunity. In addition, there are several parish-wide dinners and breakfasts, sponsored by the Brotherhood of St. Andrew. Each year a series of potlock dinners, affectionately called Round Robin, are organized to provide parishioners the opportunity to meet and socialize in each others' homes. Parishioners meet monthly for a movie at the nearby County Theater as part of the Film Fellowship group.
"The Amen! of Nature is always a flower."
- Oliver Wendell Holmes
And so it is that the beauty of nature adds much to our liturgy. The Flower Guild is a warm and informal group of rotating volunteers who select the flowers and create the beautiful floral arrangements that enhance the weekly and holyday services.

The Hospitality Committee organizes the social time after Sunday services, also known as Coffee Hour. They see that the kitchen has adaquate coffee supplies, working coffee pots, and refreshments for each Sunday. Volunteers help each Sunday to make coffee, set out refreshments and clean up. Coffee Hour is a time for parishioners to welcome newcomers and each other as they converse over a cup of coffee and a bite to eat.
Our Care of One another helps members of the parish by visiting the elderly and homebound, providing rides, contacting parish family members whom we have not seen in a while, sending cards, notes, or flowers to people who may have a special concern or need, and communicating with former members. Our mission is to treat all members of Saint Paul's as one would regard loved ones in a family, and to promote activites that enhance the welfare of our parish members through frequent interaction and communication.
"To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing."
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Prayer Group meets on the first Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Keeping the tradition of intercessory prayer alive and well, prayer requests from the parish are honored during meetings, followed by time for personal prayer and compline.

Feast days, Music Series events, and milestones reached, are some of the occasions for which the Social Committee plans a special reception. There may be as many as ten receptions during the year, each providing an opportunity for fellowship and celebration within the congregation.
The Usher/Greeter group is made up of men and women who have chosen to serve God and Saint Paul's by playing an active role in our worship services. Their work is an offering of time and talent to ensure that the congregation enjoys a warm yet solemn service. Each team of three Ushers serves on average once every 4-5 weeks at either the 8:30 AM Low Mass or the 10:30 AM Sung Mass. Ushers serve at the Easter, Christmas and special (funerals, weddings) services on a volunteer basis and when requested by the families and/or the clergy.
The members of the Ushers of Saint Paul’s fulfill two vital and distinct, yet related, responsibilities – that of Usher and that of Greeter.
