Welcome to Saint Paul's
We are a community
with a 165 year tradition, where reverence and beauty
take center stage, amid the changing faces
and events that ebb & flow with the seasons.
Come,
hear the poetic voice of the traditional liturgy,
the blending of voices singing anthems, hymns & psalms.
Come and visit,
where Episcopalians from all walks of life
join in a common stirring of the soul.
Come, be our guest.
SUNDAY WORSHIP SCHEDULE
8:00 Holy Communion Service - No Music
The 8:00 am service will be Holy Eucharist Rite I. It is a straightforward iteration of our faith, characterized by the relative silence of early morning. The more formal language used lends an air of reverence and humility to the celebration of God's resence to us in word and sacrament. Since very little of the liturgy changes from week to week, it can be recited, and the exclusively spoken nature of the service makes it a quietly powerful affirmation of what lies at the heart of life.
9:00 Holy Communion Family Service with Music and Children's Sermon
The 9:00 am service is more boisterous and explicitly joyful. It is rife with children and smiles. The Eucharist is meant to be celebrated with evident gladness because it is first and always God's Good News for all. The liturgy serves not only as a reminder to us that this is the case, it is also our literal participation in God's kingdom, made temporarily manifest in our embracing one another in peace and sharing one table as one people. Far from being dull or abstract, we are urged to raise our voices, reach out to another, and immerse ourselves in the uncommon love of God that transforms everything. This is our affirmation of and engagement in God's "making the whole creation new."
10:30 Holy Communion Service with Music and Incense
The 10:30 am service is Rite I and includes incense, choir, singing of service music and anthems. We need spaces where we can settle, rest, reflect, and pray throughout the liturgy. We want to provide an experience of beauty and holiness and encourage the unique meditation that music, architecture, and Scripture in combination affords.
In these ways, each Sunday we offer significant variations in our expressions of worship and our commitments to service, and these make Sundays an experience of Sabbath. As we begin a new program year, begin anew by discovering again the wealth of our liturgical heritage and practice.

If you would prefer to have your child with you during the service, Quiet Bags are now available for our youngest members. Each bag contains a coloring book, crayons and an assortment of books. Quiet Bags can be found in the red basket in the narthex. Please return your bag at the end of the service.
